Default Too low?

Hi,

Fitted coilover a couple of weeks back and have been running it this height with no issues or strange noises (other than my polybushes creaking).

I was planning on taking the rear up 10mm and 5mm at the front when I fit 17s in the next few weeks but keen to listen to some other peoples opinions on the ride height - both aesthetically and technically.

It looks pretty low but if you're not hitting stuff, its not a scatty deathtrap on bumpy roads and your back isnt currently feeling like its made of wood then its all good

Lookswise its great imo

The ride feels pretty good to be honest its firm but not crashy at all, better than our 500 by miles. I'm just concerned with compromising geo adjustments or needing driveshaft spacers - I was under the impression I would get vibrations etc if this was an issue.

Looks great mate!! May wanna raise for bigger wheels, but overall radius is very similar.
I'd fit and see - raise if required / desired

If it doesn't vibrate at speed it doesn't need driveshaft spacers. They're only to move the contact patch of the driveshaft pegs in the cups if the lands are worn, nothing to do with geo.

I'd be surprised if you can get the geo in spec that low on standard rear toe arms. You will also have rear bump steer but if you're not noticing it it isn't worth worrying about.

I presume there are no speed bumps or multi storey car parks where you normally drive then! Mine was that low at one point and I grounded on both. I had the car raised 10mm and it still scrapes on multi storeys.

Your idea of more rake is a good one, and yes it's a bit too low.

Thanks, yeah I know the spacers were just to move the contact area in the driveshaft cup - just confirming it was vibration was the main symptom.

Not sure weather to go for adjustable toe arms or not anyway, but having it so low that it compromises I can get geo in spec is not what I'm after.

I've never really wanted it really low - all the wheels have to come off when I swap them over anyway so will be waiting until then to raise it. Maybe I'll end up raising it more than 10mm/5mm
