Took my S to a track yesterday

Amazing! :D:D:D:D

Bedford Autodrome was the venue which is a great track with lots of grass and tarmac run off areas.

The brakes on the S when really pushed are absolutely phenominal! Only a porshe 911, a lotus elise and a radical braked better. No significant brake fade either.

Span off a few times which was GREAT FUN!

Got the hang of powerslidiing the car including a powerslide at 100mph which was pushed an inch too far and ended up spinning! VERY exciting at 100mph spinning round :D:D:D

I would advise anyone to do a track or airfield day as it's sooooo much fun.

Going to do more that's definite! :D

Good on you, it takes real balls to track your baby:drive: sounds like a brill day out:D

These cars are most at home on a track. Recommend it to anyone :)

Have to agree, you haven't driven the S2000 properly until you've tracked it.

Dracoro, would you be interested in a day at a 'proper' circuit if I organised it in a month or two?

MarkB

I'd defo be up for a proper circuit day

Dracoro 03-03-2003 03:05 AM

MarkB - Yup, definitely.

I like Bedford as it's safe with loads of run off so you can experiment more with nothing to hit.

Drove past Brands on the way back to have a look but there seems to much to hit there.

MarkB 03-03-2003 04:57 AM

Right, I'll have a look aound.
My idea is to do a track day at a circuit which I haven't been to but will be racing at this year - that way I get to learn the lines for racing. It probably won't be for a couple of months because I'm skint at the moment from getting the race car ready, so I'm thinking May/June time.

The only circuit I'm not too keen to take the S on is Cadwell - apart from it being in the middle of nowhere, it's a bit tight and twisty and with not enough run off for a road car.

Brands is one of the better UK tracks for runoff, Brands and Mallory were top of my list of possibles...

brands would be good for me
