Default Tower Struts

Hi guys (and girls!)

Quick one for you. I've bought a password:JDM tower bar, but there's nothing to attach it to the car with.

So, the question is, what am i supposed to use to attach this ting to the car with? Are there specific nuts/bolts that you can buy, and where wouldI get them from?

Thanks in advance!

Andy

undo the two nuts at the top of each strut mount, place brace over bolts and replace nuts.

Some things are just that easy, but not many.

Turns out it wasn't that easy. Air conditioning line is blocking the passenger side fixing from sitting flush.

Holy Jesus....

Try it the other way around - the 'cheap' one I have can be fitted either way, one way fouls the aircon pipe and the other way does not.

I think that maybe on the LHD cars the aircon lines might be run along a different route.

My Cusco brace presses against the insulation on one of the pipes. click to get the larger version.

Ninebolts - i think you;re right mate. On US cars, it seems the aircon line runs below the body of the suspension tower, whereas ours run along the top of it.

Fester - Tried turning it around, but the mounting plates are asymmetrical, so it won't even fit up against the two screws it's meant to screw against that way.

I'm off to see Rob at Garage R this Tursday, I might take it across there with me, and see if he's got any suggestions. Other than that, it might be getting sent back!!

AdrianK - there's a website called accessoryzone. If you go on there, they do loads of password:jdm stuff.

...i'm kinda deflated now. I've waited a month fot his bugger to show up, only for it not to fit!
