My local Kwik Fit has the modern laser kit, and I've had my tracking checked there, but remember they can only do tracking (toe in, toe out etc.) and aren't geared up for full geometry checks that include camber and castor angles ...

If they have 4 wheel laser alignment gear they sould be able to do Camber and Toe on all 4 wheels. Assuming the spotty oik knows how to use the kit!

As you say Castor will be beyond them.

I always have mine done there. I prefer free to extorionate, even if they can't do the castor. I hope it wont fall too far away from the norm.

Kwik $hit or the Stealer!

My brother worked for kwik$hit for 7 years - not one of the depots has the castor ability and on his recommendation he would not take something like the S2000 anywhere near them - even if it is free!

As to the stealers most do not have the kit and sub it out. Those that do (tend to be NSX approved) are not to accomodating at setting it up tehy way you might want it done (castor first, you in the car , higher rear camber?) It's factory settings from the PC on the laser kit or nothing.

For me I have had it done on my S's three times in my three years of ownership. Each time I have gone to a local performance specialist with a copy of the settings from the FAQ. They have put those on doing the castor first. One time I had them do it with me in the car can't say I could tell the difference!

Best to kerb it at over 30mph. That'll have a similar effect.

Cheaper than Krap Fit.

I don't know if castor angle would affect this...

I thought uneven tyre wear was symptomatic of the fronts toeing-out?

EDIT: Had the geometry set up on a laser alignment thingumy and all seems well!

woohoo!

It's the camber on the fronts that cause the insides to wear out first. Get your fronts swapped from side to side between 3 and 5k to give them a bit more life ...
