Default Tramlining

Does anyone else get this?

As I come to a stop at traffic lights etc I get some serious tramlining. As I slow down I am obviously going down the gears so I only have one hand on the wheel and sometimes it really pulls you to one side.

Just to give you some background:

- I have checked the pressures and they are fine,
- I have toyos all round which were all put on at the same time.
- They have 7k miles on them (fronts are fine, rears will need changing soon)

I have read that due to camber (I think) the inner half of the front tyre wears quicker, when I look at mine the inner half has worn quicker but not that much - would that cause it? When the rears get done I will change the fronts over to balance the wear but do I need to get geometry done etc?

Thanks

if it's sometimes.. then yes, because often you don't even seen the depressions in the road, I think it is pretty normal for the setup on the Honda.

If it happens when braking could it be due to uneven braking ie one side braking more than the other? Mine does it too, but not all the time.

Mine does this but only when the tyres are well worn.

I have experienced this in most cars with big tyres , worn or new .

When you think of it , its not possible for it not to happen .

When I swap my front tyres side to side when the insides wear down I get this badly on longitudinally rutted roads. Doesn't seem to affect the performance of the tyres much, but you need to keep a firm grip on the steering wheel.
