Default TTS Rotrex AIrbox

Has anyone fitted or made an airbox for their TTS Rotrex setup. The filter is just open and I want to see if fitting an airbox will have any effect before I try more radical cooling changes.

The CT system comes with a CF airbox and I am sure the Rotrex can be made to fit. Has anyone tried this or done something different or should I just get on and see what can be done .

Photos as usual please.

What about running a pipe down to where the aem has its filter.
I don't know if this is do'able, just putting it out there

Oxhouser your pic isnt working

Im toying with boxing it and then making a vent in the wing and guiding air in that way, a bit extreme though.

I'd change the weedy standard filter for something bigger and just add an air feed or cooling plate.

It's working when I view it

I changed to an ITG filter about twice the size on ITG recommendations , shrouded the back with an aluminium sheet that had a rubber seal on top to seal against the bonnet when shut, another plate ran in front of rad and under the filter, not 100% closed but it did the job. I would not bother with wing vent unless it's something you want for looks as well, a hole in the rad plate and the bulb access hole usually flow enough

A long time ago I cut out the faux vents ..... I have have used one of these to to pipe cold air onto the intake filter. It is a bit of a bodge job at the moment but if I ever get the time I will do it properly.

The airbox is a waste of time IMO, if anything it will restrict the airflow.

What about using a K&N Apollo air filter. It's completely shielded and has a front attachment for a cold air feed.
HKS also make an almost identical enclosed filter.

Thats low, I'd be worred about water getting in.
