Tuning
Looked through the FAQ's but couldn't see an answer to this question.
We have had the car for about a year now, and it may be my imagination, but when it gets to 6000 revs it no longer seems to give that little 'kick' it used to.
Does this mean the car might need tuning? If not, what might the problem be?
We have just had a Honda service done which we had hoped would address the problem, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference (except the car needed a wash, the oil looked cleaner, and our bank balance is emptier).

You are just getting used to it.
You can't really "tune" modern cars.
Assuming it's been serivced well and has good oil and also new air filter it should be ok on the whole.
Warm weather doesn't help.
I like to do an ECU reset on a regular basis. Keeps it on its toes.
Try that and you should notice it being more spritely for a while!
It also might be fine, and just your imagination - in which case a dyno run can often help - shows what power the car is putting out. Just pick a decent one!

What is a dyno run?
Should I get a friendly mechanic involved?

Or you can disconnect the battery for 20 mins but pulling the fuse is easier.
No mechanic needed!
Also worth just going out and giving it living hell for a while, just to sharpen it up!

Important if you make serious modifications to your car ...... willy waving for everyone else.

Having just read the info in the link, I get the feeling we may be too gentle with the car, even though we thought we were giving it hell from time to time. Could this be the case?
Hubby is going to pull the fuse shortly, so will give update later
