Default Tyre Sizes

Need to replace all 4 tyres on the S - want to replace with Toyo Proxes T1-R's - so like a good forum bunny - I checked the FAQ and it states that the rears are 245's instead of 225's for S02's - is this correct - while I've been phoning round for quotes - I have queried this more than once

cheers

Simon

Yes it is correct, hence being in the faq

The reason is that the rear S02s have such thin rain channels that they have more rubber in contact with the road than a standard 225.

The channels get thinner as the tyre wears down too!

Simon,

We found that the Toyos need scrubbing. Only then are they great.

Agreed once scrubbing in (500 miles or so) they are V good but are a bit wobbly on the sidewalls. Running them at 36 psi is the compromise that works well
