Default Tyres -------

Just checked with Honda and they say my tyres are correct, 225/50/16 Bridgestone s02 ZR !!! They are def diff from my originals . I reckon they are wrong but what do I know !!!! They do what bridgestones do best loose traction and slide round corners in the wet !! Honda reckon the garage that fixed my car read the serial number back to them and it was right, rubbish i reckon .They dont even say potenza on the side but the honda guy reckons they do, he must be clever as he has never seen them .

taking it for a service on 17/1/04 and will see what they say .

Bridgestone Potenza S02

ES02JZ 225/50R116 92W

This is what they should be - anything else is wrong and DANGEROUS!!

I would insist that they change them now - dont wait!

Just what I was going to say, Busamav.

There is an official Bridgestone quote in the tech faq. I wouldn't leave it until mid January, fax them a copy of the Bridgestone letter straight away

BTW Anything except the correct S02s needs to be compensated with 245 size on the rear.

Just spoke to Honda Colchester and they insist the zr16 are the correct tyre and he confirmed this with Honda UK and stapletons (the trye place they ordered them from). Plus they have a load of these zr16 tyres in colchester honda so i give up !

Its not worth arguing anymore i will just keep them, they dont look the same as my old ones they are ZR instead of R and they dont say potenza anywhere, the tread pattern is the same though.

Go kick butt woogie.
Tell em they will be liable for any accidents that occur.

Maybe better to send something in writing too, and receive something in writing if they're being so pig headed about things.
You can never be too careful.

Good luck!

PM GSi, he got the faq response form Bridgestone.

FWIW If the tyre has N3 written anywhere on it, it is a Porsche 968 S02. Porsche bespoke Bridgestones are always Ns

Mine were S02JZ N3
