Default Tyres - N3 or not N3

Following my multiple tyre ups in the past due to the crap Bridgestone/Honda part numbering system I need to double check I am ordering the correct tyres:

Their rears, and I have quoted the exact spec from the technical faqs area to the tyre place and they have two matches for that spec.

One has an N3 in the description and one doesn't. I have had a look at my current tyres and they don't have an N3 on. Does this mean I need the none N3????

Or should I just buy some 18" and be able to sleep at night, and not have nightmares about tyre specs.....

thanks people

Knowing SFA about anything - but doesn't the Bridgestone letter say the N3 refers to Porsche 968 fitments - ie the Honda ones don't have N3 but a W speed rating

Mike, looking at the specs the Porsche ones they are Z rated. Both the tyres I am talking about were W rated.

[QUOTE][SIZE=1]
The correct Bridgestone fitments for the Honda S2000 are:

Front : 205/55 R16 89W S02 JZ - labelled on sidewall as ES02JZ (Bridgestone Product code 71474)

Rear : 225/50 R16 92W S02 JZ - labelled on sidewall as ES02JZ (Bridgestone Product code 71475)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The above products are the only Bridgestone fitments for the Honda S2000 and should not be confused with the Porsche 986 fitments of:

Front : 205/55 ZR16 Z S02 JZ (N3)

Rear : 225/50 ZR16 Z S02 JZ (N3)

Umm, Rob if you could send me that email I would be very grateful. I will contact the guy and see if he knows.

Just to confirm both wheels are the exact spec we need. The N3 one costs

N coded Bridgestones are always Porsche fitments. Or so my local tyre place manager informed me anyway.

When he removed my rears he told me that they were the wrong tyres for my car because only Porsche Bridgestones are N coded. And he'd never seen or heard of an S2000 before.
