Rear arches
So... After spending many months (over a year) trying to find someone within a reasonable distance to take on the job, 4 places just didn't get back with a quote (including Westgate Classics that did most of car sos) and one that just said no to my face, the car is now finally in the body shop. I knew it was bad, but WOW !
Drivers side (externally the "good side") now in progress
Second hand donor part had already started to go but not to the same extent. Shot blasted and repaired
initial fitting of inner arch now in place.
More pics and updates to follow as I get them.

If that's not an advert to get the arches rust treated and protected....I don't know what is!

Sure is. It eats from the inside out, if you can see it it's already a world of pain.
Outer skin now in place
A bit more finishing to go but soon we will see what the passenger side (worst externally) is like :worried:

A LOT of Bilt Hamber...
The problem is, one can never really seal those welds properly without galvanic-dipping the shell, so there is always a danger of the tinworm re-appearing.
