I reckon some of the exotics Goodyear developed for Ferrari (Eagle Fiorano etc.) run them close but I know what you mean - directional tyres in different rim sizes front and rear I imagine that causes some confusion when ordering in replacements

Excellent! I'm sure this is going to be a change for the better in the current conditions - I remember my F1's even did OK on snow (high silica content)

Any chance of some pics?? (Sad I know but they should look very in a 245 fitment!)

Just out of interest, exactly how long have people's rears (SO-2 OEM) lasted?
I'm now on the 4th set, and I've got 8250 miles on the clock, that's a grand total of 2750 miles per pair...
is this some kind of record??!

And no I've never taken the car on a track day!

BTW Great price Steven - I had a local dealer quote

Steven, as my need to change the rears is becoming ever more critical, can you let me have some feedback as soon as possible?

I'm not too concerned about waiting for a "wet" report as the F1 Eagle is supposed to be great in the wet. In other words, if you think the car is great in the dry on them then that's good enough for me. But, if you have any qualms about their "dry" performance, I'd like to know ASAP.

Asif has Eagles on his S2000 and seems to be very happy with them, so it will be interesting to see if you feel likewise.

Thanks in anticipation

Pete

I don't think any tyre is going to match the dry performance of the SO2s. Having said that, my son had Eagle F1s on his MR2 and he loved 'em. They were excellent in the wet and in the dry, bearing in mind that the MR2 is another car in which it is very easy to lose the back end. They look great on the car too. If I change from SO2s I think the F1s would be my choice for an all weather tyre with good high speed capabilities.
