Default URGENT HELP PLEASE

I am due to look at this vehicle first thing tomorrow morning.

Dealer has said HPI clear, private plate being transferred off, but has tax disc & MOT cert from DVLA with new number, but not V5 yet. He has confirmed the name of the original supplying UK dealer.

I have HPI'd myself and all OK, I called them to check on the plate change and they mentioned it is an import.

I have called the supplying dealer who did a HPI and said as the model wasn't listed it probably was an import, but couldn't say anymore than that, despite them supplying the vehicle back in 1999.

I have the VIN number which all checks out witht he HPI company.

Is there anyway to tell if it is an EU import or a Japanese import based on the information I have? I know the main differences, but from the photos it looks like a UK car.

Thanks.

You could try here:

Honda Vin recall check

(just put in your own address - it doesn't matter.

Or call Honda? Any dealer will help

Jap import...
no headlamp washers. Early models had no stripes on inner door car. Is it 1/2 leather (vinyl) or full?

If they supplied it - surely it's a UK model?

Def an import then. My money is on a JDM.

As Boab said - get the pics up. They guys/gals on here can spot a misplaced dust cap from 30 yrds.

Certainly looks like a UK model.

Could have had new bumpers/wheels fitted. Have you tried speaking to the previous owner?

Certainly doesn't look JDM, if it's a euro import it's worth exactly the same as a UKDM car.

Some cracking advice Here

"...If the car has a UK dealers stamp in the inside the front cover of the service book I would say that it would almost certainly be a UK car."
