The only cheap thing is time - if the info is all in the thread I don't see what the issue is. If you give information then you do it freely, what the parties you give it to do with it is up to them.

The price of the wheel is the bulk of the cost.

Btw your link doesn't work.

I never expected you to 'get it' if I am honest

IMO it all comes down to the spirt of the forum, which was lacking on one members part

Try this link and let me know if you would like to order one, I can arrange it

What didn't you expect me to get? That the information is already out there for anyone to use on an open forum?

I saw the thread months ago, I don't need the extra legroom which then makes it a cosmetic mod - thanks for sharing the information you apparently got from S2KPUPPYDAD

In either respect I have no need to 'get it' , mine is great as standard, it turns the wheels in the exact way Honda designed it to.

Anything I do, I document it, if someone finds it useful then fair play, if they ask for more information I'll happily give it to them, I am not concerned at all with what they do with it once they have it.

I'm not sure what it is that you, Lloyd, Chris, Gaspode or Adrian are laying claim to discovering other than that you can all use the search function.

Let's all play nice, agree that it's a bugger of a job and get back to mocking newbies who's passenger windows have stopped working after a clean.

Having seen Lloyd's IRR I really like these but just can't be arsed to go through the hassle of getting one fitted - I'll stick to a simple mod like getting my K&N painted and putting a sticker on it

That was not my interpretation of your PM.

But, it doesn't really matter now, does it.....

Chris.
If I recall in my email I said that I would not tell you where I had the work done but would consider getting a few made if people supplied the donor wheels?

And was offended too considering you gleamed all the information from myself on how to do this modification onto a standard car in this thread:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...&#entry17512703

It may also be noted that your partner approached me with help sourcing the VGS steering wheel, but I didn't help in the end. I never got replies to my PM's, which is a shame considering I gave help in the first place and wasn't IMO in the spirit either

Anyway Chris that looks awesome and is a vast improvement on the AP1 wheel, and for those that think it should be fully covered in leather this would be very easy to achieve and I think you need to see it in person.

The previously modified AP1 wheels don't look as good in comparison shown here with perforated leather as with earlier S2000's:

Adrian,
I'm confused as to how you think posting a link with a few pictures on told me how to carry out the modification? Your right you pointed out the splines were different but did not tell me, nor did anyone else on this forum including S2KPUDDYDAD (who I PM'd and got no response from) how to modify the wheel/splines.
As you pointed out Rebecca did approach you and you didn't help with the supply of the wheel, and the reason for you lack of response from her since is because you are on her ignore list.
I sourced my wheel from America, I worked closely with a local business to figure out how the wheel was manufactured and how it could be modified to fit, non of which you played a part in.
However you do play quite a big part in ridiculing people, belittling their ideas and putting anyone down who disagree's with your point of view.
I'm sure you will have a car soon that you can put your VGS wheel on and all the other bits you have amassed, in the mean time I think I will take mine for a spin and enjoy the empty roads.

i've gotta ask this... isnt a non-round wheel a bit weird and negatively affects driving?

i cant say the VGS does it for me either - maybe in leather... it just looks out of place imo..

Whatever Lloyd get off your high chair, as two people were offended by your actions I dont think you are completely blame free

I guess your behaviour and only asking for help and not giving any must have brushed off on your partner, as I said she had no problem coming to me asking for help.

If you don't want honest opinions of your car then dont post pictures. People are not only going to say positive things are they? I made a point that the dixcel brakes would have been better than the upgrade you made, which again you never listened that they would not fit without spacers. It took me 3 or 4 posts to convince you that a VGS wheel would not fit without serious modifications. Also 3 people with apparently far more experience than yourself have informed you that you were using the wrong wheel nuts for OEM wheels, did you listen?

I would have no problem telling any member where this was done and how much it cost, unlike yourself.

I am not even in the UK at the moment so therefore owning an S2000 is not a high priority

Enjoy the open roads I am thinking of you driving an F430 today
