Vinyl Wrapping
matt black would look awesome. went past a supercharged range rover with a matt black paint/vinyl wrap finish and it looked like something from terminator.
id be intrigued to know what they quote you if you follow up. keep us posted.
also, what would you need to declare to the DVLA? i guess its not technically a respray, but you'd need to notify them of the 'temporary new colour' wouldnt you? would this have an impact on the already astronomical insurance premium?

There are quite a few people going for vinyl wraps and I think it's a good idea.
Protects the rediculously soft Honda paint and you can remove it with no ill effects which means you can buy your car in silverstone, but drive round with an illuminous purple knowing that come resale time, you're safe

I've yet to be convinced that matt black on an S is a good idea. I think it suits some shapes but not all, and in my opinion not when the rest of the car is standard.
Plenty of matt black about, but do people ever wrap in anything more creative? I remember seeing a Martini covered Porsche 911 on Pistonheads and it looked stunning.
Someone go chrome wrap an S though. Bling bling

agreed... a matt black car definitely needs guns that pop out of the bonnet and possibly some sort of outboard engine to evade enemies through water too...?
You'll need to find room for the cabbage cannon too!
i've seen some of the wrapped cars up close, the chrome and some of the matt finishes are terrible for showing up swirl marks in them; as the plastic gets scratched over time, it can be worse than paint to keep looking spotless.
if i had a wide body kit and it was either a track monster or a show queen then i'd go and do something crazy with vinyl make it look like a proper track slag.
