Default VTEC in a tunnel

I was just reading a thread by Carlson in the photo forum where he mentions he VTEC'd the car to redline in a tunnel.... it reminded me of when I went over to Birkenhead to visit friends over there.... Much 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear VTEC down the Birkenhead tunnel that night!

Has anyone else experienced the VTEC aural symphony in a tunnel? It is awesome in the extreme, think Monaco, Lowes Hotel, F1 GP weekend

To gain access to the midfeild at Rockingham 30 S2000's had to pass through a Tunnel bearing a sign reading 'Exhaust Appreciation Tunnel'. That was fun!!!!!!

One of my (unlikely to acheived) ambitions is to watch the Monaco GP from the Tunnel - the sensory overload on the 1st lap must be astonishing!

PS - I have said this before, but I think access to a good tunnel should be a major determining factor in the location of the next meet Any Ideas????

No ideas but I totally agree! A convoy of S2000s on full chat should be very fine!

Ask that old guy who's house we all pulled up by at The Cotswolds! You could see him thinking "I work and save all me life to retire and afford this house in Sleepy Hollow and 17 of these bastards pull up on me drive on a Sunday morning!"

Ealier this year here in Virginia, we had no less than 6 s2000s vtec-ing their way through a tunnel that runs underneath Williamsburg. Absolutely awsome sound.

Your attempt to bring those colonials into the 21st century apparently upset some people.

I believe these guys are still looking for you

When Lisa's in the passenger seat, I remind her that she's on tunnel watch duty as I'm so often absorbed in the road that I forget about the obligatory requirement to slow down before tunnels.
I'm just waiting for the opportunity to do it whilst there's a pedestrian in one (not very PC I know).

I took my airbox cover off then drove through my usual tunnel. The low, throaty growl was like new music. VTEC in a tunnel is amazing, but VTEC in a tunnel with the airbox cover off is damn near orgasmic.
