Default Wanted!! Used tyres

If anyone gets their tyres changed and the old ones have even a little life left in them I'd very much like them!

Cheers!

Tif,

After all the recent discussion on tyres I have discovered that my car has 225 S02 Pole Positions on the rear! As these are the wrong tyres and I am finding the car very back happy, I am considering changing them for OEM S02's in the near future (Probably September).

I am guessing you want these for track days? If so, would you be interested in two rear 225 PP's?

Is this the motoring equivalent of scabbling around in the gutter for dog ends????!!!

Okay, I will keep the old ones and give you a shout when they are available, wasn't keen on just giving the Bracknell Tyres a perfectly good pair of tyres!

So, is this for track days or have you developed a rubber fettish??

Do you still have enough grip on well worn tyres? I usually think about changing mine when the performance starts to drop off. I kept the first set of rears for emergency, in case I got stuck without tyres again. I thought about using them as track tyres, using the best tread on the inside. I'm not sure what this would do to the handling, as I think that swapping the fronts over with about 9,000 miles wear did not help the handling.

I've got my 2 original tyres in the roof of my garage Tiff just in case of a tyre shortage. They have about 2 mm on them until they hit the blocks.

Getting mine changed on Weds. Chris, the fronts are just about legal (close, very close) but there are no shoulders on them whatsoever thanks to Bruntingthorpe, Don palmer and now a day at Llandow last week.
So there is tread across 3/4 of each tyre but none on the outside - yours at the Supermeet FOC boot space permitting.....let me know.
