well the filler's undcer the bonnet, but the actual tank is that huge tanker lorry keeps following you around everywhere - honestly, I don't know where all the bl**dy water goes

Had to fill mine up last week and it took 5 large Jack Daniels bottles full mmmm....that might come in handy when I'm doing my moonshine run later

Mind you, a mate of mine was the proud owner of a Jeep Cherokee and that thing had to be followed around by a petrol tanker - I'd swear it must have had a fuel pipe as big as a PRM induction kit to guzzle fuel the way it did POS, but I could never bring myself to tell him

I can report that when my screenwash got low last nite, my headlight ones failed to work whilst the screen carried on a little longer.

Back to the original question - i wondered the same at first, as the picture on the top of the filler cap is a headlight - no sign of screen...

sorry about linking to an old post But......

For some unknown reason my windscreen washers seemed to have stopped working. My headlight washers still work and the water tanks full. The fuse is ok.

My question is, do they both (headlight and windscreen) use the same reservoir and motor ?

...Assuming they haven't altered the design in later models.... the answer is yes - the same reservoir. And No - different motors.
Can you hear the motor running when you try to wash the windscreen? If yes, then check for fluid under the vehicle! That could indicate a pipe off or split.
If it's all dry, then assume it's the pipework blocked between the pump and where the pipe divided for the two jets.
There are other threads on this forum that explain how to remove the wheel arch liner on the driver's side to gain access to the bottle.

This picture might help locate it:

This pic shows the cause of my problem - a kink in the pipe!

Thanks rich, i knew of the pump behind the drivers wheel. I can't hear the pump 'pumping' and the fuse isnt blown, so i'm guessing its going to be a new pump for me. I would expect to hear the pump trying to pump even if i had a kink in the hose though ?
