Or Webber wanted to go to Renault? With Flavio being his agent and all that (how does that work )

Webber seems to be a nice bloke, but the jury is out whether he has what it takes to be a world champion. He may have speed in qualifying (or at least most of the time), but he doesn't seem to have consistency during the race.

Of course he's never been in a front-line car before, and if he doesn't get a seat in the Renault he probably never will now... I reckon Renault will take a chance on that kid Kovalainen to partner Fisi - the young Finn will be a lot cheaper than Webber.

ITV f1 say Webber is an A-list driver according to the F1 teams and many want to secure his services. So we shall see

I think a lot will depend on what happens with MS and 'no personality' Kimi.

I think Webber's already signed for Renault.

Flav must have pissed off his paymasters selling his world champion driver to McLaren, so perhaps moving one of his other top rated drivers into Renault is a way of unruffling the feathers, and they must have realised they weren't going to get Raikonnen.

Have to say I think Wurz is an odd choice for Williams. He was an okay ish race driver, but he's been a tester for too long to take seriously as a race driver. There must be somebody better.

I think Williams want to cut back on some of their costs for the next year or so.
