Strange vid, I have been moved to post by fascination with those trees. They look straight out of a willow pattern plate.



Have looked into it and I think they are 'cloud pruned' holly.

The Japanese love trees. Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) has been a Japanese custom since the 7th century. The Japanese are in our thoughts following the catastrophic events there. Maybe the advent of the season will, in a tiny but very basic fashion, serve to slightly lift their spirits. Nature can be benign and healing, as well as destructive.
