Default What bits?

I'm jumping the gun here a bit..
But I need to pick the bits for my new S2000 That I haven't bought yet!!!
Now before you dismiss this, I'm just waiting for the right one to come along (Cash burning a hole in my pocket!!).
Anyway, I am looking for exhaust (cat back) & test pipe. Thinking HKS, don't like the boy racer noise of the invidia. So suggestions on what exhaust combo please...
Also what is the general thought process on induction kits?? What is best??

That'll do for now, but any suggestions would be great. I see people talking about differnt ECU's and handling options. I have done searches but looking for some direct imput..

Thanks,

OC

New as in factory new 2007 model?
New to you i.e pre-owned & if so what year?

Some mods. work for early cars some don't.
Prepare for masses of experienced advice.

I purchased new in November 2006, and at 3,00 miles after car well run in, I replaced cat.with by-pass pipe, and I removed with air box cover.
My experience is the latter just makes a nice roar when you accelerate, the former marginally improves throttle response and adds a little edge to what is a dull exhaust note right from low revs.
When the VTEC cuts in and with foot hard down the F1 wail effect is to die for, but not so yobbish as to emulate the usual Saxo boy racer/oik in Jap tuned saloon sound. IMO

Yeah, I should of been more specific..
New to me. 2005 JDM.
Did you just take the airbox cover off. I heard about that. But would a proper intake system be safer/better?

I dread to think how much Steven has spent on his mods (probably the cost of the car again almost)

But it is well done, and everything makes sense. I don't think there is a lot of wasted money on it, but power gains, probably not much given the money, weight loss, handling, gears and a bit of power?
