Hi,

I believe a decat will fit the standard exhaust, however that coupled with an induction will do very little for power, even with a whole new exhaust system. It will make the car sound better though. Depending on your budget there is a small exhaust mod you can do to make the oem exhaust sound better or indeed you can go for a new system. There is plenty of info via search on aftermarket exhausts.

Any significant power/bhp gain can be achieved with forced induction and there is of course the price.

What next? If I were in your shoes I would probably get it a full service and get the geo checked/done. How are the tyres? Are your brakes in good condition? Any pics of the car?

I agree with Kim - the best way to get the car faster without spending a fortune is Geo, grippy tyres and a spin round a driver training course.
For sound, get the exhaust mod done by someone near you.

Decat on it's own won't make a noticable difference and if it's a daily driver fitting cheap after market exhausts will just make it a noisy unpleasant place to be. Infact fitting expensive after market exhausts can make make it equally unpleasant.

The intake will give you a nice noise that probably make it feel faster or more responsive, even if it isn't. If that's still not enough noise for you then the cheap as chips modification to the standard exhaust will do that for pennies.

If your after noticeable hike in power then you have to consider intake/exhaust manifold/cat/single pipe exhaust and couple that with an ECU tuning solution to get the most from the parts. That rapidly becomes expensive and the gains are small.

Are you loo-kul (local) to Norwich?
<-- see here that I am!

If you are local SCA Rally that will do the Geo - although I really do need to get mine done.

Also,if you are local then why not come along to one of the meets? Always good to have some new faces.

Moderator comment: Elliott, sorry to be a nasty moderator, but can you please try to avoid text speak e.g. "every1" and make a bit more of an effort with regards to spaces and paragraphs. It makes your posts easier to understand and therefore it's easier for people to help you.

Do also read the stickies at the top of the forum, which explain some of the rules (like no text speak) and also give you information on how to use the search and post photos.

Thanks

All my meets will always have the word Norfolk in them so just search the meets page for "Norfolk"
My latest meet to organise is https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/972...ernoonevening/
