Default What is this part?

Looks to be part of or connect to the wishbone? The one of the other side is attached, so this definately doesn't look right. What is the part? What affect will it be having on the car given that it is broken/loose. Can I just try clipping it back into place?

Thanks

Only happened to notice it the other day when replacing my exhaust gaskets...

I can't see the other end of the droplink, is that what you mean? Might be helpful to give us a clue as to where in the photo the part is.

What is the other end connected to?

I assume you mean the droplink, but I can't see enough from the picture. If it is that it's safe to drive temporarily without it, but obviously it's meant to be connected. It means you might have too much rear grip this way.

Will it be having a detrimental effect on the cars handling? Should I replace both at the same time?
