Default What petrol are you using ?

At our local meet we had a discussion about what fuel we use. For the first time I have used Tesco 99 with octane booster. Car feels better. Bear in mind I own a JDM car. Previously I have used Optimax and BP Ultimate with an octane booster. However, others at the meet said they have heard that the Tesco fuel is not of high quality. Any experts out there to advise me ?

normal shell unleaded. Super unleaded made no shite of difference in any of my type r's, and to be honest, i doubt i would feel the difference in the S2000.

I stick in Esso Supreme.

It's only 97 RON from memory, but there are no convenient 99 RON garages where I am.

Evo is mapped for 99 so Tesco or V Power only.

And I want every last drop of poke and response from the S so it gets the same. It's a minor difference though.

Either brand are fine.

Rarely use BP (and I work for them!) just because the others are closer and their SUL isn't suitable for the Evo. It's good to use a tank every now and then for it's cleaning agents though.

I miss having a beater to stick boggo fuel in!

Before anyone goes into the usual debate - 95 ron will not damage your engine it may lose a tiny bit poke though. Please let this not descend into that one

I have used Tesco 99RON from new. It is always the cheapest SUL in the district, and I have never had any fuel problems!

I've started using Sainsburys S/UL and it seems slightly more responsive and a bit more economical. 260 miles from a tank, mainly town driving.
