Default What speed does the S2000 start to slow up ?

So when does the S2000 start to slow up ?

If I keep going fourth ends at about 115 - 117 (think thats right) and by the time I change to 5th I think that things are getting a little daft !!

At what speed does the car start to increase speed at a slow rate..130 ???

What is the most someone has had out of theirs ?

if you ever see the Turbodave video it's a good indicator of how the car goes in the higher gears,- it's pretty shocking how fast the car can go - I can't remember what the final speed was on the gauge 275-285km/hr?? (even though it was downhill and some mods on the car)

edit - just watched the video and it's 280km/hr the rev counter is flashing in 6th gear.

had mine up to 130 (kph ;-) ) and it was still pulling in 5th I just ran out of very straight, dry, safe road. Difficult to say what speed you can get to. Most speedo's lose it after 100 plus and get very inconsistent....don't know about ours though??

Had a great top down drive today...great weather!!

I had a speed of 156 indicated at Bruntingthorpe, I was very surprised by the rate of accelleration up to 140 or so, the rate then slows noticably.
But I went from a standing start to 156 and back to a halt in under 2 miles (the length of the main runway less about a quarter of a mile).

You can easily get up to 140, seemed very slow to increase after that and I bottled it before taking it all the way..... I did have the roof down as well

I had 230k in France a couple of times and there was still more available. (That was top-down, with two up and a boot full of luggage). Unfortunately, upcoming traffic necessitated me lifting off both times though

Hey you want to be careful about that in France these days. For an excess of 50kmh things can get pretty nasty, a suspended jail sentence not being uncommon. For 100+ over the limit then they'd probably not suspend it. I also heard (not sure how true) that they can confiscate the car too.

That is why I would never dream of going anywhere near 233kmh on a French road, oh no.
