volks alloys seem to be about half the weight of the standard aftermarket alloy, i'm sure there are others that do light weight ones but they all cost a fortune.

What size?
The lightest ones that I've seen are 10"
I suspect the rubber would be heavier than the wheel.

I know you can get some Rays Engineering ones that some of the Skylines have on. IIRC they weight 1kg a corner!

wow, bet they don't come cheap. Having the unsprung weight reduced so much might spoil the handling, what do you think? The rebound etc is all setup for a certain weight so reducing it will firm up the suspension (a lot less load going through it mass * acceleration = force)
