Default What wheels?

Carrying on from my previos thread about what wheels will fit the S, i need to know exactly(or close to) what size wheel i should go for as its doing my head in looking for a wheel i like only to find out it wont fit etc....

So what will be the best wheel size, width, offset, tiresize etc to fit the S lowered on Meister R (probably) coilovers, with minimal to no arch work...

Any help would be appreciated

What do you mean by 'best'?

You need to be more specific and you need to state your budget.

What I consider the best will be very different to what R8byb (for example) thinks is best.

Chris.

Sorry mate, should of made it clearer, by best i meant fitment, and best size that wont compromise the s2000 driving factor. that make sense?

It's too subjective to say. Some people like non staggered, some people don't. Some people (odd people ) like 18"

For me the perfect spec is 17" all round - 7.5" +51 front and 8.5 or 9" rear +59....

The limits for front and rear offsets is a tricky subject, but I don't like anything sticking out and arch rolling is just alien to me. The lower the number, the more sticky out they will be.

It would probably help if you found the standard 17" offsets, then went to one of the wheel threads in the main gallery and found what you think looks ok.

This is what the above sizes look like (8.5" rear rather than 9")

Thanks for that MB, clears it up alot, i want to stay 17'' i think as 18'' would look too big and 16'' too small, although could look good, lowered on some coilovers?
If i went 16'' i bring the offset down a little couldnt i?

Atm i am running 17'' BBS RGRs, i think are 8' wide both front and rear, not sure on offset, but i would like a wider wheel on the rear, maybe a 9''

Its just hard to find a set of wheels that i like, and then that will fit with out messing with the arches.

I was actually looking at that style of wheel, but the Rota version, as i dont have deep pockets lol but i cant seem to find the offset high enough...

I'd say with no arch work 17x8 et48 front and 17x9 et48 rear.

255 and 225 tyres.

If your prepared to do arch work and still want it to drive well, same widths as above with et40 offsets.

I've switched to pretty much non staggered and think the handling is much more neutral
