I have a major issue. Some of you might know about the ordeal I have been going through regarding buying a new car. The main issue has been the colour choice for me. I wanted a Berlina with full red like my last car but it was a pain to keep clean and looking good. I was going to buy a MR with red/black and chose to instead go for a MR with full red interior. Now here is a major dilemma.

I have today been contacted by another dealership, one I had intially contacted when looking to buy a new car, offering me a Berlina with full red interior due to arrive in 3 weeks time at a further saving of

Not sure really how any of us can help, Rahul - it's an entirely personal decision as to whether you prefer BB to MR.

FWIW, and it's very little given that colour IS such a personal thing, I think I prefer the black now, having seen an MR in the metal - the

I'm a little , but....

If the dealer says he can sell the car OK and you don't think you have pi$$ed him off too much then so what? - its only competition.

Who will you go to for the servicing? You might want a better relationship with whoever that is.

(If your heart says BB, and your head says MR - go with your heart. Buying the S was the most rash decision I ever made, and I have never regretted it )

A grands a grand. Buy the BB!

You gave the dealer the opportunity to match the price, so don't worry about it.

I like black but like you know what a pain it is, my next car wount be black. BUT, if its

Thanks Mark and Euan for your comments. I am feeling guilty because the fella at the dealership has been very good and I don't wish to screw him around. Normally I would not consider this but when he told me that he would not have any problem selling the car within a week it got me thinking.

If I was making them sell it and tied up their capital in this car I would never consider the second option. He is not mad at me at all. Since he is a nice and friendly person I didn't think it would be right to mess up a deal. At the end of the day this is business not personal so I guess I shouldn't dwell on it.

As for the servicing I only used to take the car to them because of their excellent service and as loyalty for the deal they had made on the last buy but they were out the way for me. I am in surrey and they are located in Chiswick a good 1 hour drive at best. I can however go to another dealer which is closer to me and much more convenient. I have three Honda dealers near me, two of which are no more than 15 mins away and the third 25 mins at most.

I think you all are right and Berlina might be the right choice. I should buy the car with the colour which feels the best in my heart.

AE that means no imola for me! I want to but wife tells me she will leave me. If I had known that this is all it would take I would have done it years ago.

In my experience, sales is completely separate to servicing, so I wouldn't be concerned about taking it back to the dealer who had the MR on order, if you decided you wanted to stick with them for it.

Some of the semi-barbed comments made to me about sales personnel by the servicing guys at my local dealer suggest that the service guys wouldn't care one iota how badly you might have screwed one of the sales guys in the past
