Just after a little bit of advise really to see what you all think?

I'm thinking of getting an S2000 plate and because I can't get my initials IB thought I could change this:

To this:

I was thinking of strategically placing the black screw cover to try and make the GU into GO. I figure if I'm going to illegally space the plate I might as well go the whole hog and use the screw fixings to my advantage as well! (S2000 GO isn't available although it was for sale about three months ago on a Black car in Birmingham - price

eessh.... I'm not sure our fine law enforcement community approves of deliberately altering your plate's characters to look like something else..... misspacing seems OK though (touch wood!!)

Buy the plate anyway though, its S2000 xx after all!

It happened to me yesterday, and I've no idea why!

In terms of the plate, I agree with Tif, Ian. I Think you might be pushing your luck too far. The average plod probably has better things to do than pull you up for having a mis-spaced plate - not least given the amount of paperwork it probably generates. If the plate is clear what the letter and numbers are, I suspect they don't care too much.

I think that's likely to change though if they think that you're actively trying to make your plate look like something that it's not, and to distort characters to make them look like a different letter.

OK, back to the drawing board......

I'll have to see if S2000 EN is still available, at least it sounds like Ian!

I know that it's not quite as good as S2000, but a few of us on this board have S200 xxx.

Maybe you could do something with your initials on it?

How about S200D xx (works for Matt), Or S200G xx (works for Lee). When you see both of these plates, you really do read them as S2000 xx.
