Default WHATS THE POINT?

Add in E.London & Essex Auto Trader this weeks edition....

HONDA S2000 2.0i GT Roadster, 2003, 9800 miles immaculate condition, 9800 miles Silver stone metallic red leather seats, black dash. [U]hard top never removed, soft top perfect, unused. Stand for hard top still boxed. full honda history etc.

Just bemused how could drive 9800 and never have the top down....beats me!

Could be someone who never wanted a convertible but did want the honda drive. An S2000 coupe if you like.

You'd think they'd try it the once though, to see what it was like (and maybe become enlightened )

Why buy a roadster and not take the top off?

I've no idea but lots of people seem to judging by the cars I saw out and about today, which must have been one of the best top-down days you are ever going to see in SE UK (makes a change from getting rain in the back of the neck!). Could be a good buy though as that soft top is going to be in good nick (you sure this is not just a fib to sell it?!).

Must admit, it always baffles me why spend money on a convertible and never take the top off. I see loads like this. Must be difficult to fold down on some cars, but the Honda is a gem, it's so easy, you don't have to get out of your seat FFS.

Must admit when I had my two test drives of the S, the HT was fitted and the fact that it was a soft top was no real interest to me, I just loved the way it drove.

Once I got the car I thought I'd try taking the roof off just to see what it was like; I then became "enlightened"

Tell me about it.. I picked up my S2000 yesterday, and driving it back from London to Norfolk was real embarrasing with the HT on! Even got looked down on by a couple in a StreetKa with their roof off when stuck in traffic - although the kangaroo hops cos of the temp may not have helped much there!
We'll forgive you if it was a delivery drive - now get that hard top off and leave it someplace safe until you decide the sell the car on!

The car managed to last nearly 10mins on the drive when I got back before the hardtop was off! It's now taking up a lot of space in the dining room, much to GF's dismay!

What do people do with their HTs when not using them? Its a lot bigger than I'd thought, whaddya do - string 'em up in the roof, or make a bracket to hang 'em on the wall?

I keep mine in one of those bags that hangs on the side of a wall (waterproof too if you want to leave it outside). www.impacta.co.uk Take a look.

EDIT: looks like their site is down at the moment - let me know if you are interested in this idea and I'll scan in a photo (will be tomorrow evening now) to show you what the thing looks like in use.
