Just thinking about getting back into an S and saw this on Autotrader.

Third car down.

Like the price, colour, etc, but aren't those 03 wheels? Yet the car has the later interior, unless I'm much mistaken! Yellow calipers a bit dodgy too!

I'll email tomorrow and ask the questions but in the meantime, what do we think?

 

May have had the wheels pinched and replacements put on from an earlier model. WTF is going on with the yellow front calipers

 

Hmm. Why on earth would you bin the 17's for 16's? If I was spending that sort of money on an S, I'd be spoilt for choice and pick up a minter.

 

Yes! the car has an 04+ front bumber but they look like 99-01 wheels.

Also looks like it has a non-standard exhaust (blue tips).

 

I am NOT liking the look of that car. Has 'story' written all over it... YELLOW calipers on a BLACK car 16" wheels.... WTF?

Why on EARTH take a chance on that car when there are so many proper ones around for the same money at the moment.

IIRC The 2008 has 5 spoke 17inch wheels.

Apart from the brakes being yellow - what's wrong with it?

 

After market exhaust and yellow calipers on the front.
It is a +06 car (seats, console etc)
Just had very early alloys put on (BTW they are 99-02 alloys)
Seats look like they may be cloth facing making it a Japanese car.
If it is a genuine 08 car it is a good price.
Check it out very carefully
