Wheel arch chips
Does anyone else have stone chips appearing at the rear of the front wheel arch? It seems that the plastic wheel arch liner does not cover the edge of the paintwork. Nothing serious yet but will obviously not get any better. I took a trawl through previous threads but did not see anything similar. Ideas?
Cheers,
Roger.

This is where Roadkill's (serious) rust problems started I suspect - try doing a seach for 'Rust' by 'Roadkill' !
I suggested getting some 3M (or equivalent) protective film for these vulnerable areas - I am not sure if anyone has done this..................

ianl/euan,
I read some previous threads re. 3M protective film but was not sure if this would be appropriate for such a narrow strip. It would be better if there was some adjustment in the wheel arch liners to bring them out a bit.Maybe I should take a closer look.

Take great care to get this sorted. I have had two new wings replaced, following perceived stone-chip damage leading to rust. It was (reluctantly) covered by warranty. The pic was taken a week before the car went to the dealer:
I, too, am looking for a sheet of the 3M film but I can't find it anywhere. I'll need to get this sorted before the winter, when our roads really do suffer from rock salt and pothole-chips caused by wet/cold weather.
