Thought the Spoon were lighter than the OEM ones though? I'd like to see some track testing of the Hi-Spec before I thought about them. Not too impressed with the service either!

I do really like the Dixcels, plenty powerful for track but I went through the last set at a rather alarming rate!

Highside was singing the praises of the DS3000 "endurance" pads and it's safe to say he gave them a good hammering!

According to the Ferodo site, they have a co-efficient of friction of 0.63, the R-01 Dixcels, somewhere around 0.4 or so. http://www.dixcel.co.jp/en/pad_r01.html Do check to see it's an "Apples and Apples" comparison.

Having had a brief drive of Loon's car, I can say the Hi-Spek are mightily powerful, a lot of bite for not much pedal travel.

Offset will be fine aslong as lowered with camber, as you say.

I've had a et48/8" on the front with no issues before.

Thanks Jim, it will be lowered and cambered. Plus, arch liners are meant to be worn out

I couldn't refuse them at the price I got. I can always move them on if some forged fancy wheels come along.

Trim the liners and have a roll!

Not keen on the Brembo as they generally use a drilled disc.
Mark, the Brembo GT kit is available with grooved discs.

I had a set of Spoon calipers and sold them - I don't think they are worth the money. They are big and heavy.
I have experience with Nissin monoblock calipers on another car, not an S2000. Whilst the setup is a little different to that of Spoon calipers and S2000 size discs, they are very very good, and probably perform better than the Brembo setup on my S2000.

The offset on my standard 5 spoke 2009 fronts was +55,which I replaced with Buddy Club P1s +42 which were fine untill I fitted the HI-Specs which added another 5-6 mm.

Good choice MB-

The front wheels are called a face 1 style, the rears come in the face 2 style. The difference being that the rears are slightly concave.

The rears are a very similar fitment to the OEM wheels. When lowered I found no rubbing from the back and thats with a 255 tyre.

The fronts I use are a 215, my coil-over set up is far from firm - Buddyclub N+ -

I found I was getting a bit of rub when pushed hard. 10mins of arch and liner mods per side corrected that. However as Mr Pitts, I have noticed that the BBK 2 piece disc has pushed the offset out further. I haven't driven it yet but may be cause for further mods to the front arch hopefully not as far as flaring but time will tell.

Where are you potentially buying from, I may be considering upping my rear wheel size ?
