Default Wheel Question!

Hi guys been offered a set of Rota's with the below spec...

17" fronts are 8.5 wide and et35 with 215/40 tyres
17" rears are 9.5 wide and et35 with 225/40 tyres

Just need a definitive answer will they fit? And if they do will I need any arch work camber etc?

I have coilovers and I'm lowered 30mm

Cheers
Aaron

225 on the rear sounds far too small? 245 as standard!

They will bolt on provided the PCD is correct

but will not 'fit'

and will require arch work and alignement/suspension mods in order for you to drive it properly.

Chris.

They sound like a nightmare for the s. Offset and the tyres are going to be at quite a stretch, especially those rears! A 245-265 is what a 9.5 should really have on it.

I would keep looking, they'll make your car worse and be a pig to fit.

hate to sound negative but these good deals are sometimes a false economy as you can spend more money making them fit than if you brought the right wheels in the first place?....I made a similar mistake myself

There is some good info for you here:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/342...fitment-guide/

This site is also good:
http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php...&Submit=Submit

I put in the factory wheel of 17 with a 65 offset with a 245 40 17 tyre compared to what you posted above. It shows the wheel will stick out 4 cm over where it should You'll also see the stretch.

Basically avoid low offset wheels on the S unless you are someone who likes camber and how a car looks when it is parked, rather than how it drives

I am running, 17x8.5 on the front and 17x9.5 on the rear, ET 40 all round, with a rear / front arch roll and the rear bumper tab relocated i have absolutely no rubbing issues what so ever now, those tyres are way too small for the wheels though, i think 225/45 and 245/40 may work with these, up to you though! I would definitely flog or bin those tyres straight away if you decide to go ahead with the alloys, unless you are into the stance scene, as said above the drive will be ruined !

cheers
