Unhappy Wheels *groan*

I REALLY like the look of the honda wheels on the MY04 cars and want to keep a standard-ish look to my car. Does anyone know if its ok just to bolt on a set or do i have problems ahead? Would it just be cheaper/ less hassle to buy a set of these?

bit old-school, but reckon the polished lip would look lovely on my black car...

only available up to 7.5" wide in 18's (is this ok on the S?

or

only available in 18" and 8" wide...

Does everyone with aftermarket wheels stick to having skinnier wheels on the front? why not have same-width wheels all round? (sorry noob question - won't do it again!!)

I like the 04s also, but it sounds like they have the corrosion problem also.

Never heard of Axis before, but if they do rims for Supra's, etc then sure they'll be ok. You'll need to check the offsets.

Are they only available on import though? You could get stung on the tax!

As Neil said, 04 rims will go straight on and many people have done it.

found an importer - Rising Sun Motorsport in Farnham sell them and UltraLites.

They 'seem' pretty knowledgeable too...

you need different widths front to rear because that is how the car has been designed. if you put the same size wheels on front and rear you would change the front to rear grip ratios which would totally change the handling characteristics of the car for the worse.

The rim itself can be the same width, it's just the footprint of the tyre that needs to stay the same.

Have to say I don't like either of those wheels. Sure you could pick up a set of 04 wheels easily and then you don't have to worry about offset either. A guy on the US forum has changed his 03 to 04 and they look good. Will see if I can find the thread.
