Default When to remove hardtop

Just wondered when everyone else removes their hardtop for the year? I'm thinking of doing mine tomorrow giving the good weather we have coming at the weekend, and my new storage case from ukcustomcovers arrived today.

And when do people put their hardtop back on? When I got my S at the end of summer last year I was enjoying driving to work and back with the top down every day until I put the hardtop on mid October.

When it starts getting to Novemberish mine goes on and usually comes off late March / early April and is, as of last night, off the car.

Planning on taking mine off this weekend. Am working tomorrow, but will wash the car on Sunday morning, then get the stand cleaned (sits in the garage) and get someone over to help me off with it.

Usually take it off around April time, then put back on end of September, but that's only because the car is stored over the winter.

Just think of all those crisp bright winter days you've already missed out on, beeney hat pulled down over your ears, scarf flaying, flying jacket zipped up, sporting a fine pair of leather driving gloves. That's when you know who the hell needs a hard top.

Mine came off two weeks ago will be back on November ish.
Also don't be surprised if your cover isn't big enough as my cover from UK custom covers doesn't zip up fully.
That reminds me I need to reproof the top.

Just took mine off today ... unless we get some crazy cold/wet weather (i.e. 4-6 degrees), it's off until October.

Well I tried to get it into the cover today, but it didn't fit because I hadn't removed the spikes... After already spending time faffing around to get everything into position I decided removing the spikes is a job for tomorrow. Disappointing as I'd hoped they could stay on
