Where to buy Lambda Sensor
Folks,
The lambda sensor is almost certainly failing on my MY04. Has anybody purchased one from within the UK and if so at what sort of price?
Also, I've searched and come across a couple of threads that quote circa 2 hours to change. Is it a job for a numpty or is it worth paying a garage to tackle.
TIA
Ray

Will be the front one, Ray. The one in the cat is passive...
Click the link in my sig for some more ideas.
I would try the ECU reset and MAP "tap" first and see how that goes, but it does sound like you have a sensor issue.

MAP whack and reset hasnt cured the problem. As it's reasonably cheap I think I'll change the MAP along with lambda sensor anyway.

If you mean the electrical connections then no they weren't. I had to chop the end of the cable off my original sensor and attach the new sensor to that.
The sensor itself screwed perfectly into the end of the manifold with no need for any kind of adaptor.

Its something I advised Jamie of as an option at the time, and something I have done in the past on Impreza's. I don't tend to advise most people of it as many aren't into the hassle of it - but its a good option IMO.
The only difficulty is that lambda sensor wiring will not solder, so you have to do as Jamie has done and "connect" the new sensor to the old plug.
www.cats-direct.com is the place should you choose that route.
