Default Why NFR and not Ascari?

Anybody know why Honda changed the paint name from Ascari to New Formula Red?
Did they actually change the shade?

Could be to do with the US colour descriptions. Don't they have basically the same colours but all called different names. For example don't they call Silverslow Sebring Silver?

Perhaps Honda are harmonising the names worldwide ...

No, this happened years ago. We still have Sebring and Silverstone, but both countries have NFR!

Yeah Sebring and Silverstone are two seperate colours. We don't get Sebring here and it's a "whiter" silver than Silverstone.

Sebring....

Compared to silverstone....

You sure? I could probably show you some photos of my old car that will look to be as different as those.

Just checked the S2000 04+ brochure and it shows the colour choice as NFR/Ascari Red.
Why?

It may well be a trade mark issue

Yep Sebring is silver, and Silverstone is a light metallic grey. In the US they have the choice of both colours. I saw lots of Sebring's in the US, can't say its a colour that I like though.
