I'd read that the one in the CAT reads 1 to .5 points below the *real* AFR.
If they match, your CAT is broken, and the light comes on.
Either swap it with the one in the collector (bottom of the manifold) or around that area.
Mikey put his in the CAT pipe, but before the matrix (so is running 3 sensors). I swapped my primary one (so a wideband, and a lambda).

The AEM EMS doesn't use the secondaryO2 sensor (same as the Mugen ECU).

i will add the boss pre matrix
weldings not an issue i can Mig it no problem but may just get a local shop to tig it as i cant be arsed buying a roll of stainless wire and a small bottle of Argon

A good solution is to get a wideband, but with a narrowband output to the ECU. PLX do them.
That way the ECU gets its expected 0-1v (if that's what you need?) and you can use the wideband signal for a display.
