Angry Will this cause any problems?

Ok, long story short :

1 low s2000 + 1 raised manhole = one completely dead kakimoto cat back, one mangled decat, and a bent OEM manifold.

I`ve fixed the OEM manifold, the kakimoto is fit for the bin, and the decat is the same, luckily it seems the flange at the decat/manifold took the brunt as it must have caught the edge of the manhole, forced the exhaust back and completely tore every weld on the system.

i`ve had to refit the OEM cat as a temp measure and picked up a mugen catback off a local lad.

I think the answer is no, but will having an oem cat in place over a decat have any adverse effects on the car since its running a spoon ecu, fan switch and thermostat etc?

and i`m praising the lord i didnt have the mugen manifold on!!!!.... bloody new developments and their terrible road surfaces

Shouldn't do TBH, probably wont run as well power wise as Spoon will run a decat with their ECU. IIRC Mugen state that their ECU should be run with a decat, but the mugen ECU is different.

I will say a spoon ECU isn't the best match for none spoon stuff and also spoon fan+stat isn't needed really unless your on a track but each to their own.

cheers, it was all on the car when i bought it... i`d never have bought any performance stuff for an s2000 myself as its a bit like pissing in the wind unless your going FI or mega money build!

i`ll get a decat asap, just at the minute i want to get the car back on the road while I argue with the developer over compensation for a new kakimoto

i know, pure luck and got it for a bargain price!!! still money i could do without spending

the developer is currently refusing to claim liability, so its solicitor time and local MLA`s

the poor kakimoto lasted 4 days too... i`ll have to get pics... its horrendous, tho i`m lucky it wasnt worse

Very loud is an understatement.

My mate heard me around 3 miles away whatever way the wind was blowing.

I loved the look and planned on fitting a bigger silencer in the midpipe, now I just have a 3 inch hole.

Aw man. Sorry to hear you ruined your exhaust but maybe it's a sign that the 'Kack' - imoto should stay off.

They do sound great when giving some beans, but not sure how you live with it at low speeds.

Anyways, you should be looking where you are goin instead of at some skirt lol
