Unhappy Wind Screen Spray

Hi Guys,

Probably a stupid question, but then most of mine are on here.....

Can you apply water or screenwash to the screen without spraying the headlights? Everytime I do it the way I think it should be done, the whole front of the car gets a good soaking from the headlamp spray!

Any help greatly appreciated

There has been some mention of modifying the switch itself, that would mean there are two pumps, one for the windscreen and one for the headlamps.

The headlamp spray is powerful too!! Covers the front bonnet with water and suds!!!

Does it only work with dipped beam on?

There was a dealer mod, but I think this only activated the spray when the dipped beam was on.

The headlight washer only works when the lights are on.

There is a mod but AFAIK it completely disables the headlight washer.

Again AFAIK there is a leagal requirement to have headlight washers on HID equipt cars.

Actually, now you say that I think it happens when I have the head lights on...as I have not seen this happen before.

It must just be when the lights are on normal beam
