Thumbs up Window problem

Since installing my bluetooth handsfree kit and the battery running low (see my other thread) my window no longer opens with one touch. It does work, just not if you push the button once to auto open.

This is the 3rd headache I've had since the weekend. Anyone got any advice?

Thanks,
Karl

You need to reset it.

I think it's in the tech faq, but IIRC you make it go all the way up, then pull the button to the up auto position and hold it there for a second or two.

Update - it's not in the faq, but it should be.

Can you confirm that my fix works and I'll put it in there

From Spankley's thread

The car has to be started!!
1. push and and hold the window button down all the way until its completly down.
2. when its completely down, let go and push it down again and hold for 2 to 3 seconds. then let go
3. now pull and roll the window up until its all the way up.
4. when its up let go
5. pull the button up again for 2 to 3 seconds.
(after step 2, he said you should be able to hear or feel the motor or something inside reset.)
6. now then your autoscroll should work correctly.

Cheers guys. I've been wondering for weeks now why the window didn't "auto". Seeing this thread and your reply I suddenly realised it started happening after I disconnected the battery. Bingo! Fixed.

The above worked, kinda.

The steps I took were:
1. push and and hold the window button down half way until its completly down.
2. when its completely down, don't let go and push it down fully and hold for 2 to 3 seconds. then let go
3. now pull the window up button half way until its all the way up.
4. when its up don't let go
5. pull the button up fully for 2 to 3 seconds.
(after step 2, he said you should be able to hear or feel the motor or something inside reset.)
6. now then your autoscroll should work correctly.

Thanks!

I had this when my battery went flat. All I did was wound it all the way down and all the way back again and it worked. Didn't have to hold anything.
