Default Windscreen Cracked !?

Took the car our for a drive this morning and when I got back noticed there was a long crack starting at the bottom of the screen on the passengers side.

I have had a look and there doesn't appear to be any stone chip along the crack, the windscreen just seems to have cracked. Anyone experienced anything similar ?

It's a dormer over a garage

Looks to me like there is a stress point (from a chip?) towards the bas of the crack where it changes direction.

Needs replacing

Do a search a few people have had it done recently with mixed results!
