Wing mirror mount
Hey everyone.
My wing mirror has started wobbling at speed and closer inspection shows that the mount is slightly loose.
The workshop manual basically says you have to take the door apart to get to it.
Is this true or does someone have a set of pics that details the process?
Thanks all
Andy

Here you go Andy,

This write-up is pretty good, but I think I got a 1/4 socket to go on when I did mine?
Yes you do need to remove the door trim plus the speaker, door trim is an easy job though (once you've done it lol)
One thing to bear in mind is that the door internals are RAZOR SHARP! so when you go all 'James Herriot' up to your elbows take extra care!
I looked like I'd been self-harming when I did it
Also remember to re-plug in the window & speaker connectors after, sounds obvious but it's really annoying having to remove the trim again afterwards!

Awesome Lee, cheers.
I reckon something has been afoot with the drivers side tbh. On closer inspection, the triangular piece of rubber that the window slides up and down against is slightly higher that the one on the P/S window, and there is a squeak as the window goes down (meaning there is some resistance).
I might save this until I can get down to see Ang and Ray and work on this at their place with the S2k guru there to assist!
