Winter storage
I looking at taking my S off the road for 6 months over the winter and would like some advice on this.
The car will unfortunately be outside on driveway but will have soft top cover on. Is there a full body cover that can be used or would this add to the moisture being kept around the body?
I will be putting it on axle stands so tyres will be off the ground.
Do I disconnect the battery or just trickle charge every month?
I have read on here that I should not start the engine till I am ready to take it out of hibernation, as running it for 20 minutes every few weeks can actually do more harm?
Is there anything else that needs to be done?

I wouldn't bother with a full car cover. In strong wind it will marr the paint and give cats something to shelter under.
Battery wise if you disconnect it you lose your alarm (correct me if I'm wrong anyone), might be worth checking if that affects insurance even if you're comfortable with it.
As for the starting it doing harm, well it won't do as much as starting it and using every day like it's designed for but it won't do it any good.
Last tip I'd give is don't leave the handbrake on as the rears are too prone to binding. Leave it in gear and chock it.
