That sort of thing - looks like it went under the back of a truck trailer.

Trouble with that Pat is although it looks pretty straight forward to repair you can't see if there is an damage to the chassis where the tops of the wings bolt on. I'd suspect they're buckled in some way going from taking my own car apart as the very front towards the headlights is very thin and weak. Chassis legs are probably ok though.

It would be even nicer if you could buy one of those 09 models with a popped engine for cheap and stick yours in there...
I rest my case.

This is part of the reason you only got £13k for your car. The market has tanked for later cars partly because people are scared to buy the best cars out there as a few unlucky people has bad experiences. Being an 08, yours is as likely to go pop as any 09 apparently.

Well s2konroids is splitting his car (cannot blame him)

So it's fix mine or strip it and buy another,

I thought it was only 09's going bang? So my best option if I want to keep my flashpro is a 06/07 with VSA ticked?

Otherwise older and get diffrent management?

Still want mine but don't know now, A lot of work and guessing it will push my budget if I have to buy all the parts like subframe and maybe a roof frame,

More research needed I think

some 09's went bang, MOST didn't, some 08's went bang, MOST didn't, MOST all MY years get seized bushes.. some don't. If you read this forum you'd be forgiven for thinking the S2000 is made by Alpha Romeo. I was just highlighting what the 09 slating on this forum has possibly done to market value and driven down the price, hence you not being that happy with your settlement. My GT100 sold for about 15% more than you settled, one owner, as new, 16k, just serviced, MOT'd, tyres, tax. Personally, I think the scare mongering had something to do with the crash in prices and of course it feeds down the chain, if an 09 car is worth say £15k, then the book price on an 08 / 07 will drop also. Lose/Lose situation.

You know your car, I would keep it, fix it up and enjoy driving it. If you can't fix it for the £5k+ left over I'd be surprised. If you are keeping it long term who cares what it's worth in the market. In 10 years time prices will be such that 20% less as CATD will be less than it is today in real money.

I say keep it and get it fixed up and of course enjoy it!
