I never did get my plastic thingy back in the place it started from and it doesnt seem to have caused me any problems.

Its the plastic tab that holds the window rubbers (weather strips) in place. (I think)

You may have an issue now that when the window goes down, the weather strip is taken with it.

Simple and cheap fix, speak with Si @ Hendy.

Nope it's what holds the glass against that strip when the window is up.

Clips to the inside of the door skin - good luck getting it clipped back on without taking off the weather strip and IF you take off the weather seal, you may struggle to get it back on again. You might get it reclipped on with the window down - it's a couple of years since i replaced those parts on mine.

Far as i know, it only makes a difference in the wet.

Having it out of the door will at least stop it rattling

I removed the weather strips from my scrap S2000 the weekend just gone. Would recommend if the weather strip is coming off, to remove the door card. Without that, you are likely to snap the clips.
