Default Ye olde 'S2000 is dangerous' thread

Not sure if this has been posted before but there's a somewhat comical 5 pager on the VW Vortex about the S2000. It degenerates towards the end but makes for some entertaining reading.

Thread is here.

Wonderfully name - a literary classic, unless I'm mistaken!

Glad to see Y2K S2K was there to put the dumbasses straight!

"Some owners have discovered inappropriate vehicle rotation at the point of disappearing talent"

Classic.

- so true......

I also liked "Think of the S2000 as a sharp knife. It is a great tool if used correctly, but can be deadly in the wrong hands. Would you ever blame a knife for being too sharp? No. In short, it's the driver, not the car."

To be fair, most people on the site are clear on it being drivers that are dangerous rather than cars. It's just 2 or 3 of them that don't have a clue.

And the knife analogy is good.

I have never laughed sooooooooo much as reading that thread!!!

Since when have Americans been the experts on corners or bends!!?

Ok people cannot seem to drive so lets all have safe common front wheel drive cars!! I know lets make it even safer............catch the bus or train!

Bejesus! Whats the point in having a sports car if

1. You didn't have to respect it

2. Its not too easy to drive thius making you feel like a driving god when you get it right!!

someone please go and post on there!!

By the way hi Jeff! and Welcome!

Edd

"Unlike most cars on the road,
Honda didn't tune it for a pile of understeer to prevent
morons from killing themselves. The result is a car that
does what you tell it to, whether what you tell it is sane or stupid. "

Actually the Vortexers are reasonably knowledgeable. Despite being American and even though the Car Lounge is on a VW forum, its one of the best all round car forums on the net. These arguments are normally sparked by newbie trolls. Much like Mr. Darkwater or whatever with his MR definitions.

Cheers for the welcome.
