I'd try and look a bit harder for some S02's.

As long as you match the two fronts to each other and the two rears to each other you won't get nasty behaviour. However if you have stickier tyres on the front than you do on the rear the rear will seem to whip out and you can end up in a mess. The S02s are pretty sticky in the dry but fairly poor in the wet. Certainly if you're changing the compound to something like the F1s (which I understand are better all round than the S02 but not as good in the dry) you'll find that changing the rears will make the car understeer more in the wet and oversteer more in the dry.

I would strongly recommend that unless you know what you're doing with the different tyres stick with the same compounds front and rear to keep the handling reasonably predictable.

You should be able to find S02s in most places. Whereabouts are you?

Find a decent local tyre place (probably the smaller the better) and ask them to locate the ES02JZ. Say you don't want anything else as that is the tyre specifically designed for the Honda S2000 alloy wheels. Ring round half a dozen places and ask them what they'd charge to fit tyres you mail order.

There are a few places which will mail order tyres but try to find someone local first...
