we JUST moved into this neighborhood (Pilsen, 18th and Ashland) - a neighborhood which we deemed superior to where we were (bridgeport). However, 1 week later, the chromed tire valve caps were all stolen as of last nite.

the gf was devastated. but i told her the silver ones were too bling for this neighborhood to last long anyhow.. o well. .

 

I thought you were going to say your car was stolen. I figured you wouldn't have to worry about the grinding tranny anymore.

 

I used to have that prob when I lived in London - look out for little kids with chromed valve caps on their bikes - honest!

i had my blue anodized ones stolen out at red robins by urmils house.. urmil was also a victim also, 2 of his mugen ones got stolen.. those damned bad kids..

i used to live in bridgeport and that area wasn't too too bad...its just those damn young chinese car/part thieves

When I had rays wheels I went through at least 30 valve stem caps, because they said Rays.


So stupid I went to plastic caps and never had the problem again.

Also chrome caps unless very tight have a higher tendancy to come off on their own.

i wish the car was stolen. then i woulda gotten fair market value from the insurance company and picked up an '04 instead...

Bridgeport is the SUCK. i've had my jack stolen, my rotary tool, a wooden chair we were using for parking space holder during winter stolen. my neighbors are racist bastards who called the cops to tow my car (i fought it in court and WON), they also bumped into my miata (cracked a rear panel) and my saab's bumpers over n over. i wouldn't worry about the chinese peeps... they've raised the property value of BP to no end and are now toughing out the mexican gang problem (think Zhou Brothers studio on Morgan)

 

yup, my chrome caps were stolen recently, now it's back to black rubber...
